ABC has ordered The Hustler with Craig as host. It's based on a Brit format and reminds me more than a little of the old reality show The Mole. The kicker is that one contestant is secretly working against the others as they answer questions from the whimsical Mr. Ferguson.
The goal is to identify the mole, er, hustler before all the other players are eliminated. The show begins production this fall with a debut date TBA.
Craig Ferguson won a couple of Daytime Emmys for Celebrity Name Game, so ABC presumes (and I agree) that he'll do a good job as the host. I actually liked The Mole, so this format sounds interesting to me. At least ABC isn't rebooting a decades-old game show format for a change.
