Back in prehistory (which means ten or twelve years ago) Xbox ran a online version of 1 vs. 100. The video game expired in 2010 but now Microsoft is making noises about bringing it back (maybe). The old game gathered players for a version of the NBC/GSN show...
Online players were placed in the 100-strong Mob or in the hot seat on stage, with both groups answering trivia questions for the chance to win real prizes like Microsoft Points and Xbox Live Arcade games.
We might see Microsoft try something similar with its newest version of Xbox. Meanwhile, you can still watch Carrie Ann Inaba's GSN edition of 1 vs. 100 on Game Show Central. The mob quizzer is still alive and kicking - in reruns, anyway - after all these years.
Speaking of Game Show Central, I just noticed that GSN has put Skin Wars on the Pluto TV version of the online outlet for the network's originals. Skin Wars was one of GSN's reality efforts back before the network became all traditional game shows. The naked girls with lots of paint produced a demo winner for GSN, and the show lasted for three seasons and 28 eps.
