The site concedes that rock and roll seems like an odd match for "the wholesome, family-friendly entertainment game shows offer." Well, that's only sort of true. Game shows aren't necessarily squeaky clean. The greatest game show ever, the 1973-82 Match Game, wasn't exactly Mister Rogers.
One of the odder features of the UCR list is a couple entries for Jeopardy. You'd think that Alex's quizzer would be a little staid for such goings-on, but rockers have shown up now and then for the answers and questions. The most interesting item might be Jackie Fuchs, known in the rock world as Jackie Fox of oldies female group The Runaways. Her Wikipedia article runs through some highly controversial material. I'm happy to report that there was nothing untoward about her four-game winning streak on Jeopardy.
Wheel of Fortune also sneaks onto the list. Weird Al Yankovic, one of my guilty pleasures in music, earned some money for charity in Pat and Vanna's house. He also played on Remote Control, a show that should be revived one of these days.
