Back came one of the more offbeat entries, a list of quotes from Shop 'til You Drop. This shopping epic was never a favorite of mine, though I admit the show maintained a breakneck pace. But pace isn't everything, and the gameplay never interested me all that much. But the show hung around for a long time on Lifetime, Family Channel and Pax TV, so somebody must have liked it.
The wiki entry is a long list of things said on the show, from opening spiels to catchphrases to taglines. Pat Finn hosted for most of the show's on-again-off-again run, so he gets quoted a lot in the article. But the entry includes catchphrases from a couple of announcers who made a name for themselves in the genre, Mark Walhberg (Russian Roulette and others) and Dee Bradley Baker (Legends of the Hidden Temple).
J.D. Roberto, who hosted the show's final and heavily revamped version, also features prominently in the entry. It's a little weird to read though all the quotes on a computer screen. They seem like ghostly echoes of the actual show. Shop 'til You Drop finally, well, dropped in 2005, though GSN briefly tried reruns of the show in 2013.
