Wald’s Latest Blacked-Out Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe Is Not A Black Bison

At first we thought that Wald International has made another ‘Black Bison’, their official nomenclature for most projects, but this one is actually dubbed the ‘Sports Line’ and is aimed at the Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe from the 2016-2019 model years.

Inspired by the 563 HP GLE 63 Coupe and 603 HP GLE 63 S Coupe, the regular model boasts the Panamericana grille up front. Further down, the Japanese tuner has added an apron that highlights the wider bumper air intakes and features incorporated DRLs.

A similar treatment was applied to the rear bumper, which sports a four-fin diffuser and a motorsport-inspired brake light. All parts supplied by Wald use the factory mounting points so the installation should not be a problem, but it can also be performed at the company for an extra fee.

Wald did not call it a day before adding something that has become the norm for all modern tuning jobs: oversized wheels. On second thought, make that really oversized, as they measure no less than 10.5×24 inches on all four corners. Designed by Wald specifically for the GLE Coupe, they are part of the I13-F series and complete the looks of the crossover coupe with a polished lip and black center piece.
