Do These OZ Rims Enhance The Looks Of The Porsche 997-Gen 911?

Usually, it is automakers that play spot the changes with various updates of their models, yet this time, the Porsche 911 that you see pictured here comes from JMS.

So, what is new? Well, that would be the wheels. Made by OZ, the Ultraleggera set features a six double-spoke pattern and measures 8.5×19-inch at the front and 11×19-inch at the back.

Finished in matte bronze, a shade that, according to the company, highlights its associations with the world of motorsport, they are shod in 235/35 and 305/30 tires front and rear and contrast the white looks of the exterior, adorned with ‘Carrera 4S’ lettering decorative stripes in blue applied to the sides.

Part of the 997 generation of the German sports car, this 911 comes from Croatia, and aside from the rims, remains stock. This means that it still packs a 3.8-liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine that pumps out 355 HP (360 PS / 265 kW) at 6,600 rpm and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque in the pre-facelifted form.

The mid-cycle refresh, which came in 2009, lifted the output of the mill to 380 HP (385 PS / 283 kW). The 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) run took only 4.5 seconds and flat out, it could do 185 mph (298 km/h). The regular Carrera 4 had ‘only’ 340 HP, was capable of maxing out at 177 mph (285 km/h) and added three tenths of a second to the 0 to 60 mph sprint.
