Upfront with the Peacock Net

Hit ABC a lick in the previous post. Now it's NBC's turn for their fall schedule plans.

The Peacock Net (I'm really getting obnoxious with the Variety speak) doesn't have any game shows on tap for the initial fall lineup. But Ellen's Game of Games and Jimmy Fallon's new That's My Jam will enter at midseason or in the summer, depending on the whims of the National Broadcasting Company's schedulers. Interestingly, there's no mention of The Wall or Hollywood Game Night.

I wrote a few days ago that Jane Lynch and friends were on shaky Nielsen ground, to say the least. So it's not a huge surprise that NBC is mum on any possible new season. But The Wall has recently turned in okay numbers by current summer broadcast standards. Is the Plinko knockoff heading for the dustbin of TV history?

Jimmy Kimmel runs so many game segments on his late night talker that I've long wondered when he would get into the actual game show business. We'll see how "musical game show" That's My Jam performs for the chatfest host.
