Google News coughed up one of those "where are they now" stories about former child actress Amanda Bynes. I can't say that I'm an expert on her career, but Amanda's name did sound slightly familiar.
Born in 1986, she got her first big break on Nick's 1990s I've Got a Secret knockoff, Figure It Out. YouTube still offers glimpses of the show sliming her. Her pleasant personality and girl-next-door looks earned her some more Nick gigs, including her own Amanda Show.
In what was almost a parody of Hollywood's child-actor-gone-bad sagas, Amanda ran into all sorts of trouble as she tried to transition to adulthood in show business. The story checks off the list of issues...
In 2012, the former actress was charged with a DUI. Within the next two years, Bynes found more trouble with a reckless endangerment charge, marijuana possession, and setting a fire in a stranger's driveway. Following the events, Bynes was put under a mental-health evaluation hold.
With all this heavy traffic, Amanda's IMDb page pretty much peters out after 2010's Easy A. The Screen Rant story says that she's trying to get her life back together after the messiness, but she's kept a low profile for years now. Good luck to her after all the problems.
