The network just debuted Jeff's Homemade Game Show. This is a cute stunt show conducted in the contestants' home by effusive host Jeff Rogers. The family that stunts together stays together, as they face goofy challenges like finding $3.00 in loose change or playing a kind of shuffleboard with rolled-up socks.
The debut episode ended with the family winning a bunch of merchandise. The goodies didn't rival a TPiR showcase, but they were better than nothing.
The show runs high on sugar content, with heavy emphasis on the adorableness of the players. Jeff Rogers is a little too bubbly for my taste, but shows like this need a big dose of bubbliness. Jeff's Homemade Game Show is no threat to land a Peabody Award like Jeopardy, but BYUtv's viewers will enjoy the family fun fun fun.
A personal note. Just for a shot of insulin to dull the sugar rush, I took in a Baggage ep on Pluto TV after I watched the family stunt epic. The guy with the collection of women's underwear probably won't show up on BYUtv.
