Another kicker

So I was watching a rerun of America Says on GSN, and one of the contestants said he was a punter in the NFL for nine seasons.

Which gave me a slightly strange feeling. I recently posted about Rolf Benirschke, an NFL place kicker who hosted Wheel of Fortune for a few months. It started to feel like I was in some kind of mystic confluence of the NFL and game shows.

A little googling - that always sounds dirty - revealed that the America Says punter was Glenn Pakulak. He was technically correct about his nine seasons in the league, though most of that time he was on training squads or an NFL Europe team. Unlike Benirschke, who was a legit regular at his position, Pakulak only got into ten actual NFL games (in 2008 and 2009). He launched 37 punts in those games for a respectable 44.4 yard average.

Glenn's linked Wikipedia article mentions his appearance on America Says, along with a previous stint on a 2011 reality show called Most Eligible Dallas. He had the physique for a reality star, and his IMDb page lists a few more minor show biz credits.

On America Says Glenn had a tough go. His team "Estate Squad" tied the score in the third round, only to get edged out on a steal by the other team, "Bride Tribe." Sometimes you lose in the final seconds.
