A Ken Jennings story

So what's Ken Jennings doing lately, besides winning the G.O.A.T. tournament on Jeopardy and headlining GSN's latest hit Master Minds?

Well, he's trying to sell a trivia board game called Half Truth (see screenshot). The linked story details all the bumps and bruises that Ken and fellow game-creator Richard Garfield have endured in launching the game. The launch got off to a good beginning with a kickstarter campaign that raised $327,000. Ken and Richard got the game to Amazon and were stocking up brick-and-mortar stores as well.

Then the freakin' lockdowns hit, and suddenly it was hard to peddle anything because politicos sealed the world up tight. The lockdowns are finally easing, but a board game - no matter how well-designed - may be a tough sell in the economic tough times generated by the virus panic.

But Ken and Richard are soldiering on. Ken even put out a hopeful tweet about playing the game over Zoom...

Good news! If you don't have 2-6 players in your quarantine, you can still enjoy VIRTUAL HALF TRUTH!

Good luck on selling Half Truth, whether people play it in person or over the Internet. By the way, Richard Garfield's biggest claim to fame is creating Magic: The Gathering, which spawned a gaming craze (not to mention a Wikipedia article.)
