Second chance

Sometimes game shows do own up to mistakes, even when the goofs are minor ones.

Wheel of Fortune brought back contestant Tony Harrison on the April 6 show. Tony had previously appeared on a 2017 episode, but there was a small error on his bonus round category. So in the interest of fairness the showrunners gave him another chance. Tony took advantage in a big way, as he relieved the show of $93,831 in cash and other goodies.

Every now and then a show will give a contestant another chance due to a questionable judgment call or a production screwup. It doesn't always cost the show ninety-three grand, but Wheel of Fortune can afford the payout. The show is riding high in the ratings thanks to the virus lockdowns.

Tony solved GRAND LOBBY in the bonus round. I was watching the show and was completely stumped, but Mr. Harrison came through. Good for him.
