ABC has announced that
four of their six-pack of game show reboots will return this summer.
Celebrity Family Feud,
Press Your Luck and
Match Game will come back on Sundays beginning May 31. These shows got their new seasons taped before the world locked down. Steve Harvey, Elizabeth Banks and Alec Baldwin all return to helm the proceedings.
Anthony Anderson's
To Tell the Truth gets a Thursday slot starting May 21. The two shows that apparently didn't tape in time are
100K Pyramid and
Card Sharks. Depending on when the lockdowns finally start to break down, it might be possible for these shows to tape some eps in time for the summer. But I'm not holding my breath.
ABC no doubt wanted to fill Sunday nights with their successful reboots. The Alphabet Net (thank you,
Variety) has dominated prime time on summer Sundays for quite a while now. They've got a decent chance to do the same this summer.
