Decades of pop culture

Let's Make a Deal tries a nostalgia stunt next week with Decades Week.

Each day a different decade from the '50s through the '90s gets a going-over. Guests range from I Dream of Jeannie's Barbara Eden to NSYNC's (and Common Knowledge's) Joey Fatone. I'd like to see a bit about rigged game shows on '50s day, but I have a sardonic sense of humor.

It's a little startling to realize that the current version of LMAD has now wheeled and dealed for eleven seasons and more than 1,500 episodes. Wayne and friends have rolled up their own decade-plus of prizes and zonks. Although CBS hasn't yet announced a renewal for 2020-21, it's a safe bet that the show will see a twelfth go-round.

The show is getting so old that some first season eps might appear on Buzzr without looking completely out of place. Okay, maybe the show isn't that old.
