Why can't the 5-time winning family get the car after Fast Money? Having them win the car before, makes Fast Money an anticlimax.
In fact, it would be quite an anticlimax if the family missed out on their final Fast Money and then had to act happy about the car. Besides, as soon as the front game is over on a family's fifth win, the car is theirs. So it makes sense to let them celebrate while the thrill of victory (remember the old ABC Wide World of Sports?) is immediate and fresh.
The question I always have is more basic: who gets the car? I suppose the family decides which team member gets the shiny new auto. After all, they don't get five cars so each contestant can have one.
