Ratings: GSN scores a Pick Five

The Show Buzz Daily chart for Monday, January 6 was a little unusual. For the first time that I can recall, GSN landed five shows on the ratings list. Our little game show network skews very old, and Show Buzz Daily lists shows by the almighty 18-49 demo. So the Pick Five win was highly notable for GSN.

I wrote a while ago that GSN had loaded the schedule with new eps of their originals starting this week, and the payoff was immediate. The five fresh episodes of America Says (two eps for this show), Common Knowledge, Catch 21 and the debuting Get A Clue averaged a healthy 391K viewers. Get a Clue came out highest in the beloved 18-49 demo, if you're interested. Only one of the episodes ran in prime time, so GSN drew viewers throughout the afternoon and early evening.

Nielsen is still recovering from a holiday haze, so syndie game show ratings aren't available yet. I'll post 'em when they release 'em.
