Over the last few days there have been many stories in Google News about a certain
Jeopardy clue. A lot of political commentary on the Middle East has erupted from, of all things,
Jeopardy asking about the location of Bethlehem. Normally I would post something about the news stories. As you may have noticed, this is a game show blog and I post about items in the game show news.
But I also try to skirt politics as much as possible on the blog. That way I avoid a lot of heavy breathing in the comments. I'll admit that I'm a little inconsistent on this policy. A while ago I made fun of GSN for hacking out part of an
I've Got a Secret episode because of the now defunct #MeToo controversy over
Baby, It's Cold Outside. I had to smile when a cable network censored a 1965 game show - which they ran at 3:30 AM - over some silly (and now dead) rumpus about a 1949 song.
The bottom line is that I'm not going to wade into the Bethlehem stuff. If you don't know what I'm talking about, you can run a Google News search to satisfy your curiosity.
