His first tournament win

You have to hand it to Ken Jennings. He knows how to adapt his style of play on Jeopardy.

Ken basically out-Jamesed James Holzhauer to win the Jeopardy G.O.A.T. tournament on Tuesday. He went all-in on Daily Double and Final Jeopardy bets throughout the four-game tournament, and the big wagers paid off. The last show was no exception, as Ken hit his bets to pile up a large edge in the first half-hour. He then fended off a spirited rally from James in the second half-hour.

In fact, if James had guessed "Iago" on the, er, final Final Jeopardy, he would have won the night and the tournament would still be going. No doubt ABC would have liked that outcome. But you can't fix game shows any more, so James missed with "Horatio" and Ken walked off with the million bucks.

It was a fun four nights for all concerned, even Brad Rutter. He was the third guy who kept missing Daily Doubles and was never a factor. Despite the tournament ending after only four episodes, the enormous publicity won't hurt Jeopardy for the rest of the syndie season.
