I'm still no fan of the show, and I think there were maybe 999 better game shows available if Buzzr wanted to take a few years off the schedule. Which seems to be the idea, along with spending as little money as possible. (I can understand the frugality for a cash-strapped diginet dependent on low-rent direct response ads.)
But I sometimes forget that people put a lot of time and effort into any game show. So I'm happy to give Annie Wood, the host of Bzzz, a shout-out for her thank-you note to Buzzr. She wrote a nice post on the Buzzr Facebook site that "a whole new generation can enjoy some 90s me and Bzzz."
Bzzz was a Ralph Edwards production. I don't know if Fremantle picked up the rights somewhere along the way or if they recently made a one-time deal for the show. The Edwards production company has a page on their site for people wanting to use their product. Maybe Fremantle just filled out the form for a few eps of Bzzz.
