Back to my old trick of picking a random page from a game show wiki. This time it's the
Bob Stewart Wiki.
The random button came back with Personality. This was a moderately successful celeb game show that ran on NBC from 1967 to 1969. Three more or less famous people guessed how each other answered various questions on pre-taped interviews. It wasn't the most intellectually stimulating game show ever created, but the celeb players were reasonably entertaining.
The show is almost completely wiped, but the wiki offers a few bits and pieces. Joan Rivers, Flip Wilson and Jack Cassidy - all sadly gone now - collaborated on a couple of the eps. Even Don Rickles dropped in, via tape and between standup insult gigs, on one of the shows.
Larry Blyden hosted with his usual charm, and the show was a pleasant enough way to pass a half-hour.
Personality won't turn up on many (or any) lists of top game shows, but there have been far worse efforts in the genre.
