Buzzr schedule tweaks

Buzzr has posted a few schedule tweaks on their Facebook page.

The "new" show is Body Language, the so-so charades effort from the 1980s. Buzzr has run the show before (see the logo in the screenshot) but it's never been able to stick on the schedule. Tom Kennedy and friends are back for a couple of weekend slots after a three-hour marathon in prime time on January 12.

The 2000-01 season of Supermarket Sweep will also run in weekday prime time beginning January 13. This is getting downright recent by Buzzr standards. There are a few other changes but nothing too important. By the way, Buzzr gets to trim back the kids programming on weekends because the FCC has relaxed those ridiculous rules on diginets.

The fan comments on the changes are rather blah. One poster complains about all the depressing charity ads. Sorry, but Buzzr isn't exactly prime real estate for advertisers, and the diginet has to take what it can get. Another commenter wants less Match Game, but the show is clearly Buzzr's biggest winner.

Of course, the elephant in the room is Bob Barker's The Price is Right. This is the only big oldie left in Fremantle's library, and it's been hanging over Buzzr's schedule forever without actually dropping. Sooner or later it's gotta fall into a slot somewhere, doesn't it?
