Best guess on Wheel

We're all getting bored with the Humongous Mystery over who will host which upcoming episodes of Wheel of Fortune.

But things do seem to be shaking out gradually. From the show itself we know that Vanna will host episodes for the two weeks of December 9-20. Disney characters will apparently operate the board. We also know that Pat is back at work and his new eps will show up sooner or later.

After that there's still a little uncertainty. It looks like Wheel will go into reruns for the two weeks of December 23-January 3. The show very rarely does midseason reruns, but these are typically low-rated holiday weeks. So there's not much harm.

Both USA Today and Buy a Vowel insist that a third week of Vanna-hosted episodes will then run January 6-10. Buy a Vowel adds the rather odd detail that the set for these tapings was closed to help calm Vanna's nerves. But what about the December 9-20 episodes? Also, there's no word on who did the letter-touching for these January eps.

I assume that Pat's new shows will start running the week of January 13-17. But don't quote me on any of this. And sorry for all the posts on this issue, but it seems to be the biggest topic on the game show Interwebs lately.
