The format sounds more than a little familiar. Two adults try to convince a kid that they're experts on a subject. The kid has to figure out which one is lying. You might remember this idea from TBS's quick flop Trust Me, I'm a Game Show Host. Except kids weren't playing on that show. And the general notion dates all the way back to the fifties at least, with To Tell the Truth.
But hey, we all tell fibs now and then, so this game show idea springs eternal. Yvette Nicole Brown, veteran of several game shows including the late, lamented Celebrity Name Game, co-hosts with actor Rhys Darby. There's also a "lovably goofy robot" hanging around. Those are the best kind of robots, no?
Disney+ launches November 12, but it doesn't look like this game show will be immediately available. There's been a lot of weeping and gnashing of teeth by current streamers over the Disney venture. Disney is obviously a heavyweight media player, so people pay attention to their streaming plans.
