After some episode guides and empty entries, I got a detailed post on Get the Message. If you haven't heard of this short-lived 1964 effort on ABC, join the crowd. This was yet another Password knockoff, only the celeb players wrote down their clues for the civvie. Will we never have an end to Password's descendants? One of them just got a renewal in syndication.
Get the Message is almost completely gone now, which proves that the G-T organization wasn't always scrupulous about saving their shows. Or maybe they didn't think this show was worth saving. The Mark Goodson Wiki offers two complete episodes, which aren't terrible but just kind of bland and uninvolving. GSN once ran the eps, as you can see from the old logo in the screenshot.
Frank Buxton hosted colorlessly. Later in the brief run the showrunners replaced him with the far more experienced Robert Q. Lewis, but to no avail. The show expired after ten months.
