Cash Cab crashed to a new low of 195K viewers. In contrast, GSN originals America Says and Common Knowledge drew 541K and 459K viewers, respectively. Bravo execs can't be happy about how Ben and his camera-festooned taxi are performing.
It may be that the format has just run its course - sorry for the bad joke - and Cash Cab needs to spend some time in the TV garage before another revival attempt. One possibility is that GSN might haul the cab out of storage after a few years and try some new eps. Our little game show network is no doubt a better home for the quizzer than Bravo. The old Discovery reruns seem to do okay business on the weekends for GSN.
I thought Bravo's version was a worthwhile reboot but the numbers have been disappointing, to say the least. Let's hope that Mr. Bailey and his magical taxi tour will make a successful comeback one of these years.
