I've never heard of Pressman, but they've never heard of this blog, so we're even. The Pyramid product costs $24.99, which seems affordable enough. Believe it or not, hardcore game show freaks really get excited about home versions of those wonderful shows you see on TV. Only the freaks are usually more interested in old games with lots of worn cardboard.
Home versions of previous Pyramid runs are widely available on the Internet. Even Donny Osmond's show, which I liked but which most oldies freaks disdained, has a home game. Though the $48.40 price tag looks a little steep.
Pyramid is a natural for home play because people enjoy yelling at each other under time pressure. That's why the TV show has hung around forever. Bob Stewart had a brilliant idea when he took Password and made everything the lightning round.
