Defenceman Torey Krug scored a goal and had three assists, top-line centre Patrice Bergeron had a goal and two assists, Pastrnak and Brad Marchand got on the scoresheet and the top power-play unit was a perfect 4 for 4. Game 4 is Monday night in St. Louis.

Canadian Mike Soroka won his sixth straight decision as the Atlanta Braves snapped a three-game skid with a 10-5 victory over the Detroit Tigers. Soroka scuffled a bit, at least compared to the high standard he set this season, allowing season highs of three runs and seven hits and striking out five in 6-and-2-thirds-innings.

Brandon Belt drove in four runs, Buster Posey homered and the San Francisco Giants used a rare offensive outburst to breeze past the Baltimore Orioles 8-2. San Francisco built a 7-1 lead in the fifth inning and cruised to only its second win in 10 games. The Giants came in ranked last in the N-L with a .221 batting average.

Edmonton Eskimos wide receiver Anthony Parker didn't make it out of pre-season. The Eskimos announced today that Parker is out for the remainder of the 2019 C-F-L campaign after sustaining a ruptured right Achilles. Edmonton opens the regular season June 14th at home against the Montreal Alouettes.

The ECHL says the Kelly Cup that has been awarded to its champion since 1997 was not returned by the Colorado Eagles after their title and a new trophy has been created. The league says in a statement that the Eagles didn't give the Kelly Cup back in December as scheduled. Team owner Martin Lind said in a separate statement that the Eagles made numerous attempts to return the trophy that were ignored by the league, so it remains in Colorado.
