But this story actually goes into detail about another Jeopardy contestant named Ellie Walsh. I'd like to report that Ellie was a big winner like James, but sadly she bombed out in Final Jeopardy and only scored one dollar. This was the teachers tournament, though, so she got five grand for just showing up. She'll use the money for her honeymoon.
Ellie sounds like a very nice person. She teaches history and government at a Tennessee high school. I doubt that anybody will go on CNN and whine that she didn't treat other people on the show with respect.
A funny note: the article notes that Ellie did not get to meet King James. Even in stories about other contestants, Mr. Holzhauer turns up. But Ellie has nice words for Alex Trebek. The story reminds us again of the terrible health problems that the iconic host is facing.
