It's a lazy Saturday, so I rambled around the game show Interwebs.
ABC's reboot of
Card Sharks has begun taping, and a few people are writing about their first glimpses. Sounds like the traditional format is intact, except for a row of ten cards instead of five. My dislike for the show is well-known to readers of this blog, but I'll try to keep an open mind for the eventual review.
I also came across
a BuzzerBlog rewind of this Andy Richter tweet...
About to do a rehearsal for a new game show. Hope I don't get hard during it.
Let's all hope that Andy doesn't have erectile problems during the gig. Our little genre can do strange things to people. The
BuzzerBlog commenters zero in on ABC's other new reboot,
Press Your Luck. No doubt Andy could do a competent job, even if he's not my favorite late night sidekick.
There's some sentimental rooting for Andy because his
Pyramid pilot died at CBS. (A yakker from the wife of the former honcho got the nod instead.) Of course, there's no guarantee from the ambiguous tweet that Andy has landed the PYL job. As always, we just have to stay tuned.
