There have been a couple of bad fails on
Wheel of Fortune. As usual,
social media is cackling over them.
The linked article actually takes a rather mature approach to these inevitable goof-ups. The writer notes that going onto a nationally televised game show is not an easy task, and mistakes under the pressure and the lights are hardly unexpected. Sill, these flubs were pretty bad.
One contestant thought that people could do headstands and "bandstands" (see screenshot). Sadly, bandstands are not in the usual list of calisthenics. A second contestant forgot about "Wall Street" and instead settled on "Dall Street." Somewhere in the world, no doubt, there's a street with that name. But it's not going to show up in a
Wheel puzzle.
The article cautions that "we feel pretty bad about the miss. It could happen to anyone." Yeah, but it really did happen to a couple people in front of an audience of ten million or so. Hard luck.
