Maybe my favorite is Drew Carey reminiscing about a proctologist contestant on The Price is Right named Dr. Butts. That sounds a little urban-legendary, but I'll take Drew's word.
Ellen DeGeneres of the self-referential Ellen's Game of Games asserts that a good game show host is "someone who is funny, charismatic, edgy, but not too edgy, and ready to have a good time." The genre is supposed to be one big good time, so hosts who enjoy the festivities are nice to have around.
Then there are the contestant screwups. Steve Harvey remembers a Family Feud contestant who was asked for a word that begins with "pork." He answered "cupine." You can't make these things up.
