But this story about the live show coming to an Oklahoma casino is a little different. It offers a photo of Jerry Springer, frequent host of The Price is Right Live, reading off the winning price to contestant's row. Which reminds me that Jerry may not be doing as many of these jobs in the future, now that he's got a court show coming in fall 2019.
Jerry Springer always seemed like an odd choice to me for TPiR's live show. You'd think the showrunners would want a nice, uncontroversial sort to host America's merchandise fest. To state the obvious, Jerry is not uncontroversial. But he looks to have done well with the endlessly touring show, so he keeps getting the gigs.
If Jerry's new court epic cuts into his TPiR hosting duties, there are always guys like Mark Walberg and Todd Newton to pick up the slack. They've done a zillion of the live shows, too.
