I've already linked to a long story in the New York Post. Now comes an even longer version from the Wall Street Journal. The saga of the self-made millionaire who burst onto the scene with a new sub-genre of game shows seems irresistible to media people looking for a cautionary tale about big money, big ego and big drugs.
The Journal fills in some more details about infighting at HQ. Mr. Kroll's sometimes rocky relationships with co-founder Rus Yusupov and other people at the company get a lot of space. There are also additional factoids about his drug-overdose death, including texts from the girlfriend he spent his last night with.
Otherwise, it's pretty much the same story as the New York Post recounted. Too much early success leads to a bad place.
