She's against it. Well, okay, it's not an issue that I'm really concerned about, but Jameela gets quite indignant. It shouldn't be allowed in makeup, anti-aging, or hair adverts. It's impossible not to compare yourself to the artificiality. I think it's bad for society and for the person because it sets a precedent, it's dangerous to see that computerized perfection on a screen because it destroys your sense of perspective.
My surgeon showed me some unretouched photos of my insides, and I wish a lot of retouching had been done to them. But if we're talking about hair ads, I'm not gonna argue the point.
Jameela goes on with more huffing and puffing about body image. To somebody who just went through five-and-a-half-hours of surgery, the issue again seems literally skin-deep. But different people care about different things.
I haven't seen a debut date yet for Misery Index, which will also feature comedy troupe The Tenderloins. The title strikes me as rather outdated. The last time the misery index was a big deal was when inflation ran wild in the 1970s. But TBS must want "misery" in the title one way or the other.
