PREVIEW: PATS HOST HITMEN TUESDAY EVENING!

Overview
The Regina Pats (13-33-1-2) are back on home ice on Tuesday to take on the Calgary Hitmen (23-19-3-1). Puck drop is at 7:00 p.m. at the Brandt Centre. The Pats are coming off a 3-2 shootout loss in Brandon on Saturday, picking up three of four possible points over the weekend against the Wheat Kings. The Hitmen were home to Kootenay on Sunday and beat the ICE 4-1 for a second consecutive victory. Tonight is the second of four meetings between Regina and Calgary in 2018-19, the Pats are 1-0-0-0 in the season series. Tonight’s game can be heard with Bennett Dunlop Ford Pats Hockey starting at 6:35 p.m. on 620 CKRM and will be broadcast on Access 7.

Walker on the Board
Defenceman Kyle Walker scored his first two goals as a member of the Pats on Saturday in Brandon. The 18-year-old was acquired from the Everett Silvertips in early November and has put up all of his nine points this year in the Brandt Centre. Walker scored the Pats opening goal early in the first on Saturday and then tied the game with under four minutes left in the third. Walker has put up two goals and seven assists in 32 games with the Pats, to go along with 37 penalty minutes.

Seven Game Streak
Pats forward Duncan Pierce extended his career-high point streak to seven games on Saturday with an assist in Brandon. The 18-year-old has scored three goals and added five assists in that stretch. From Winnipeg, Pierce is enjoying a career season with seven goals and 11 assists for 18 points in 43 games. Coming into 2018-19, he had recorded two assists in 34 WHL games. 10 of his 18 points this year have come in the last 14 games.

McNabb’s Great Weekend
Pats goaltender Dean McNabb put together back-to-back outstanding outings on the weekend against the Brandon Wheat Kings. The 18-year-old made 30 saves for his first career WHL shutout at home on Friday and followed that up with a 26 save performance in Brandon to earn the Pats a point. In the two games, McNabb went 1-0-0-1 with a 0.96 goals against average and a .965 save percentage. He has appeared in nine straight games for Regina in the absence of Max Paddock, starting eight of those contests.
