Mahovlich was acquired by the Pats from the Kamloops Blazers in November of 2017. The product of Abbotsford, B.C. has played in 68 games with Regina, scoring five goals and seven assists.
“We wish Scott all the best in Lethbridge,” said Pats VP of Hockey Operations and GM John Paddock. “He has been a credit to our organization on and off the ice.”
Meanwhile the Pats also announced they have acquired 17-year-old defenceman Tyson Feist and a 10th round pick in 2019 from the Spokane Chiefs in exchange for a fifth-round pick in 2021 and an eighth-round pick in 2019.
Feist (6’3, 177), is in his first full season in the WHL, he has five assists in 25 games with the Chiefs this year. From Dawson Creek, B.C. he also appeared in eight games last season as a 16-year-old.
“We would like to welcome Tyson to Regina,” said Pats VP of Hockey Operations and GM John Paddock. “He is a big body defenceman and a right-handed shot which will be a good addition to our group.”
The Pats are back in action Friday night in Saskatoon against the Blades at 7 p.m. on 620 CKRM.
