On July 4 the show drew 404K viewers for its original run at 5:00 PM. ShowBuzzDaily doesn't publish rerun numbers, so I don't know how the holiday marathons of America Says scored on the same day. They probably did pretty well because the show has been steadily building its audience since its debut.
I've praised America Says plenty on this bog...and mocked Game Show Forum for its inability to give the show a fair review. It's always fun to mock GSF, or what's left of it. Basically, America Says is drawing prime time numbers for GSN in the afternoon, so a renewal looks like a near certainty.
There's one small problem, though. You might call it the Pyramid-Password issue. After the sped-up version of Password on Pyramid, the original Password looks pretty slow. It's the same for me with America Says and Family Feud. After the sped-up front game on America Says, the front game on Feud looks kind of poky. Put a clock on those contestants to get the answers coming faster.
