The Disney Channel is running a ten-episode trial of the concept, to see if kids will play the mobile app while watching the TV network. At least some young'uns are playing along. Tonight host Trinitee Stokes informed us that 101,000 players were hitting the app as hard as they could. A few of them are even putting their play-along exploits on YouTube. You're never too young to start your own video channel.
As for the winsome Trinitee herself, I think she's 12 going on 26. She keeps the verbiage coming at hypersonic speed. You might say she's not camera-shy. Watch out, Scott Rogowsky.
I had no clue on any of the questions tonight, which all centered on relatively recent Disney projects. If they had really asked about Cinderella (see screenshot) I might have had a prayer. But I'm about sixty years past the demo who would know all the latest stuff from the Mouse Factory.
As I posted a while back, I'd feel a little better if the app/show was a general knowledge quizzer instead of just a way to promote Disney efforts. There is other trivia in the world besides Disney detritus. But I can't grouse too much about promotional efforts. Disney is not a taxpayer-subsidized charitable institution.
By the way, I wonder if GSN will ever get their rumored HQ knockoff to air? Stay tuned.
