Jeopardy probation

The odd legal case of a former Jeopardy champ has reached a predictable end.

Stephanie Jass, a seven-time winner on the quizzer in 2012, got a year of probation for hacking into other people's e-mail at Adrian College. She once worked at the school as a history teacher. Jail time was never going to happen for a first-time offender. And to be fair, the college almost invited the crime by giving everyone the same password for four days. Not the best IT idea.

Stephanie Jass' winning streak briefly set the record for a female contestant on Jeopardy. Two years later Julia Collins buried the record with a run of twenty wins. That remains the second longest streak ever behind only the fabled 74-win run of Ken Jennings in 2004.

I doubt that Stephanie Jass will be teaching anything at Adrian College for a long time. It's not nice to pry into other people's e-mails.
