A TV critic on a pop culture site remembers the date by proclaiming Combs to be the best host of Feud. This is an endless dispute that's always lots of fun. Personally, I think Al Roker deserves the title, but that's just me. Kidding, folks, just kidding.
The article quietly omits any references to Combs' sad death, which may be appropriate for a light and fluffy piece. But his fate formed a large part of the E! True Hollywood Story episode on Feud. That ep was one of the show's best efforts, by the way. You can check YouTube if you don't believe me.
One bit of game show history I didn't know: Trivia Trap was the last original format that Mark Goodson brought to air (not counting unsold pilots). All his subsequent shows were revivals of earlier formats. The Mark Goodson Wiki confirms this factoid. You learn something new every day.
