Getting closer to the Antichrist

Buzzr has put twenty eps of John O'Hurley's Family Feud on their Amazon Prime list.

The episodes date from September, 2007. That was O'Hurley's second season on Feud, and it's only three years away from...you know who. The Antichrist, the Great Satan, the unspeakable horror of the oldies boards, Steve Harvey. Eeek! All right, I don't know if Buzzr is getting ready to unleash the hated Steve on the diginet. They haven't even put O'Hurley's version on the channel yet. But this means that five of the six hosts of Feud will have seen time on Buzzr one way or the other. Can the sixth (you know who) be far behind?

At least the O'Hurley eps are another indication of Buzzr's gradual move to less dust on the lineup. As Fremantle is finding out, the market for forty-year-old Tattletales episodes is pretty limited. Buzzr has been dipping a toe into more recent shows lately, just enough to p.o. the more rabid older-is-better types. Sooner or later the same thing will happen to Buzzr that happened to GSN. The schedule will generally shed all those decades of dust. I can hear the Interweb cries and whimpers now.
