But Wheel of Fortune's Pat Sajak and Vanna White got a little attention when they shot a few filler scenes in Washington, D.C. The Washington Post has glimpses of them at various D.C. locales, including a "cat cafe" called Crumbs & Whiskers in Georgetown.
Have to admit, I've never dined at a cat cafe, probably because I'm not a cat person. In fact, we're currently the pet humans of our third Labrador Retriever. She hates cats with a passion, by the way.
No doubt the Washington shots will turn up soon in a Wheel of Fortune episode. The show itself doesn't go on the road all that often. It's tough to lug that 2,400-pound wheel hither and yon. But it's easy to fly Pat and Vanna around for some location shots to drop into the tapings.
One of the Washington locales was the Lincoln Memorial. I wonder how Abe would have done on a celeb version of Wheel. Would he have played in his top hat?
