It never ends

The Internet is such a great thing. It assures game show contestants that their famous goofs will never die.

Lately, the 2015 screwup by Millionaire contestant Brenton Andreasik on his first question has been making the Internet rounds again. Several stories have turned up in Google News about his inability to locate millennials in Ikea. Of course, to add to his online misery, the stories mention Brenton bragging about how it's cool to be smart...just before he bombs out.

His chagrin has always lived on YouTube, and Brenton even has his own entry on the Millionaire Wiki. Google tells me that Dr. Andreasik has gone onto a fine career as a physician, but his claim to Millionaire fame will always dog him. To a very limited extent, I can identify with him. A blogger's opinions and goofs live forever in our online world.

Luckily for me, game show bloggers tend to be obscure. (It's a pronounced tendency in my case.) So my screwups are a lot more private, even on the Internet.
