Preview
The Regina Pats (1-1) return to home ice on Monday night for game three of their first round playoff series with the Swift Current Broncos (1-1). Puck drop is at 7 p.m. at the Brandt Centre. Ryan Kubic made 32 saves and Cameron Hebig scored twice to lead Regina to a 2-1 win in game two on Saturday to tie the series 1-1.

The Lead Up: Kubic and Hebig lead Pats to game 2 victory
Ryan Kubic made 32 saves and Cameron Hebig scored twice as the Pats won game two in Swift Current on Saturday night, 2-1 over the Broncos to tie the series 1-1. Regina scored their first goal of the series when Sam Steel set up Cameron Hebig in front, he went backhand and scored his first goal to make it 1-0 and that was the score after one. There were no goals in the second but in the third, Regina went up 2-0 when Hebig put home a one timer from the left circle on the powerplay for his second of the night. Swift Current got one back with 7:12 left but Regina held on from there for the 2-1 win. Cameron Hebig and Sam Steel led the offence with two point nights while Ryan Kubic made 32 saves. Regina was outshot 33-32, the powerplay went one for five and the penalty kill seven for seven.

Head to Head
The Regina Pats earned a split on the road in Swift Current to start the series thanks to a 2-1 win on Saturday night. Swift Current has scored four goals in the series, Regina has two. The Regina powerplay has gone one for nine and the penalty kill 13 for 15. Cameron Hebig has two goals and Sam Steel two assists to lead the Pats offensively while Ryan Kubic is 1-1 with a 2.00 goals against average and a .932 save percentage. The Broncos are led by Kaden Elder, Aleksi Heponiemi and Colby Sissons who each have two points against Regina. Stuart Skinner is 1-1 with a 1.01 goals against average and a .970 save percentage.

Hebig on the Board
Pats forward Cameron Hebig scored both Regina goals in their game two win on Saturday night. They were the first two goals in his WHL Playoff career in just his second game. The 20-year-old signed prospect of the Edmonton Oilers is taking part in his first playoffs, he scored 41 goals and had 90 points during the regular season.

Penalty Kill Comes up Big
The Pats went seven for seven down a man on Saturday night in their game two win, including a five on three in the first period and a six on four with the Broncos net empty late in the third. Regina is 13 for 15 on the PK in the series, good for 86.6% efficiency. In the regular season, the Pats went 80.9% on the PK in their final 30 games after the trade deadline.
