Except there was a little problem with the shipping fees to the great white north. After some unfavorable publicity the show agreed to pay all the shipping costs to Joni's remote location in southwestern Alaska. She's still on the hook for federal and state taxes, which will probably amount to a lot more than the shipping bill.
If you're going to live in Bethel, AK, you're probably familiar with shipping stuff in from the outside world. Wikipedia says the town is a hub for several passenger and cargo airlines. The subarctic climate means that Bethel requires a lot of supplies from far and near.
It's nice that TPiR picked up the shipping tab, but there's never any free lunch on the taxes. The IRS wants your money now, Joni.
