Ratings: Steve frowns

'Twas the week before Christmas, and all through the house, not a Steve was smiling, not even a mouse. As if the Twitter dump on his New Year's Eve wardrobe wasn't enough, Steve Harvey saw Family Feud's ratings drop in the December 18-24 week. But he still maintained a precarious lead in the genre. TV News Check has the household ratings...

Family Feud 6.6 - down three ticks
Jeopardy 6.5 - flat
Wheel of Fortune 6.4 - up a tick and another daily run would put Steve and Alex away
Millionaire 1.7 - flat, what else?
Funny You Should Ask 0.5 - flat, really what else?

The cold weather sent GSN's viewer numbers upward for the December 25-31 week. But the network lost a little ground in the cable rankings. GSN got 422K/299K viewers prime time/total day and ranked 39th and 35th in the windows.

The winter chill also helped CBS's warhorses. For December 25-29 Let's Make a Deal and The Price is Right both scored their best viewer numbers in quite a while. TPiR got 5.8M viewers and LMAD got 3.7M. The weather outside is frightful, but the game shows are so delightful. I'm just in a poetic mood today.
