A BMW, a trip to Grenada, and some cash

Contestant stories vary. Sometimes they're only a few sentences gleaned from an e-mail. Other times you get the full treatment of how the contestant got on the show and what happened when the cameras rolled. This story about New Hampshire's Crystal Knowles and her adventure on Wheel of Fortune definitely falls into the full treatment category.

Crystal went through various stages in the audition process and finally got The Call (or, more accurately, The E-Mail). I got the email inviting me back in November, and they gave me two weeks to get there.

She got there (on her own dime) and didn't regret the decision. After the taping she had a white BMW, a trip to Grenada, and $12,500 in cash. Plus she had a nice memory for a third-generation wheel-watcher. Her father and grandmother were also big fans. The family tradition might continue because Crystal's 13-year-old daughter Kylie likes the show. Will Pat and Vanna still be around if and when Kylie spins the wheel?
