Maybe it's a fad, maybe Proust was right and we're just harkening back to our childhood. But there's something we really dig about an SUV wrapped in camouflage.
Not the shape-obscuring wraps automakers put on their prototypes, but proper military-style multicolor camo – like the treatment on this Suzuki.
Called the Xbee Winter Adventure, it's a conceptual version of the retro-rugged compact crossover that Suzuki recently released, and will now exhibit at the Tokyo Auto Salon... complete with blue-grey camo, yellow accents, and roof rack.
Of course the Xbee isn't the only vehicle that the Japanese automaker will show at the forthcoming exhibition. There'll also be a camper version of the new Spacia wagon, a Carry pickup rigged for fishing, and a Swift Sport done up in matte black and red accents to mirror the GSX-S1000 superbike alongside which it will be exhibited.
Suzuki will have 12 vehicles on show in all, including versions of the Solio Bandit, Alto Works, Wagon R Stingray, and Spacia Custom. But with apologies to that sporty little Swift, it's the camo Xbee we like most.
