Old-time revival

Fantasy revivals of old game shows have always been a staple of the oldies boards.

For some reason Tic Tac Dough is a favorite reboot candidate. I'm not sure why. I don't think the show was all that great in either the rigged or the honest varieties. If I had to pick a personal favorite oldie for the reboot treatment, I'd try Win Ben Stein's Money. Only I'd need a new know-it-all and a new wisecracking sidekick.

So why not Win Ken Jennings' Money? The Jeopardy maven has always been looking for something new to do, so why not have him answer questions? He's pretty good at it, after all. And he's such an insufferable nerd that audiences would enjoy rooting against him, a key ingredient in WBSM's success.

For the sidekick I'd try Scott Rogowsky, if I could pry him away from a few HQ tapings. He's sarcastic and obnoxious enough, a natural inheritor of the Jimmy Kimmel role. Plus he comes with a built-in fanbase. As Ellen DeGeneres showed, an established fanbase doesn't hurt.
