If the name sounds like, well, a lift itself, worry not. The show comes from Discovery, the network that gave us Ben Bailey and friends. So they can rip off their own titles. Not to mention their own concepts.
Cash Lift is an ambush quizzer where unsuspecting elevator riders suddenly get questioned over a hidden speaker by a couple of millennials named Alex Weber and Zainab Johnson. It's one strike and you're out, unlike Ben Bailey's more lenient three strikes. And the prize money is even cheaper than Mr. Bailey's offerings. But there's a money tree with a couple of lock-in stages, so even if you bomb you might still get a few bucks.
The initial ep runs about twelve minutes and includes two games, neither of which ends well. At least one relatively happy couple wins $150. Hey, it's a cheap online game show. What did you expect, a million dollars?
